I miss it already...

Well, I'm back to reality. Back to work, back to fund raising, back to life. However I will have fond memories of this trip and the friends we were there with. Here is some highlights of what we did.

Day 1 - April 30th
Get dog to kennel, friend arrive to leave and drive to Seattle.
Here we are waiting in Summerland at the construction stop.

We stopped in Leavonworth for lunch, mmmmm german food.

We also stopped in Roslyn, WA. Aslo the place where Northern Exposure was filmed.


Day 2 - May 1st
Fly from Seattle to Orlando, arrive at Parkway International Resort

And I made some new friends


Day 3 - May 2nd - Epcot
The gardens were amazing at Epcot. Here I am in front of the entrance gardens.

And the hanging baskets were monsterous

The boys drank some beer. (Mike my husband and our friend Rob)

And they had Tea growing in Tea Cup in Englands section (Jen, she loves tea)

Their show at night was great!


Day 4 - May 3rd - Animal Kingdom
I hardly took any picture here as we were so busy. I think my favourite part was the Safari, in which I got some really bad and shaky pictures. But here is one good one.


Day 5 - May 4th - Blizzard Beach
It was so hot all we wanted to do was lie around the pool. But at Disney you can do that and have a great time too.
Note the "snow" coming off the roof...

That night we went to a Pirate Dinner Adventure.
And here is the one we were supposed to cheer for, Antonio. (sorry about the other guy, I swear he wasn't there when I was taking the pic...)

Day 6 - May5th - Universal Studios
We headed immediately to the Jurassic Park area and they boys couldn't stop smiling. (Mike and Rob, I think they like it)

Next was a crazy ride Dueling Dragons, I didn't go on it...

And here we are after Popeye's river ride, we are all soaking wet, and I mean soaking.

Jen and I went on a tea cup like ride while the boys were on THE HULK.

Later in the afternoon we checked out the new Simpsons ride


Day 7 - May 6th - Magic Kingdom
There is nothing like going to the Magic Kingdom, especially when you get there for the opening of the gates.

We did all the traditional Disney stuff, including a picture in front of the castle


Day 8 - May 7th - Hollywood Studios
I think this day was extra hot, maybe about 95F but we went out anyway

Completely be accident I got Mike's head in Mickey's hat

We saw a great Car stunt show, Mike was really impressed.

Day 9 - May 8th
It was time to head home, but we all could have stayed a few days longer. We did get a chance to walk through Celebration, a town completely pre-planned by the Disney people, and watch the new Star Trek movie, awesome.
After our flight landed in Seattle we drove to Tsawwassen to stay there for the night.

Day 10 - May 9th
Drive home. My in-laws were waiting at our place already for us and it was really nice to come home.

So there you have it, highlights of my vacation. Just trying to figure out when our next one is...
